Hospice Fundraisers are celebrating the continuation of a hugely successful charity partnership with Seymour Civil Engineering.
This summer, Seymour is the official sponsor of two of Hartlepool and District Hospice’s flagship annual fundraisers; It’s a Knockout, which took place at Hartlepool Old Boys Rugby Club on 11 July and the Great North Run, which is on 13 September.
Seymour have helped cover costs for the It’s a Knockout event, based on the TV series, as well as entering two teams in the games, helping recruit additional teams and assisting in planning the family fun day that will run alongside the competition. They also sourced and provided a number of additional attractions for the day.
The Civil Engineering firm has also become the Hospice Great North Run team’s official vest sponsor and taken four running places in the world’s biggest half marathon event. This year’s running team is the biggest the Hospice has ever had, with 71 supporters currently in training and sourcing individual sponsorship.
This support follows Seymour’s charity ball last summer, which generated a fantastic £7,300 for patient care.
Hospice Fundraiser Greg Hildreth said “We’re absolutely delighted with the continued support we receive from Seymour; we have worked closely with some of their staff over the last year and been overwhelmed by both their generosity and hands on approach to fundraising.
They have already made a huge difference to both of these fundraising projects which are expected to collectively raise in the region of £35,000. We had a great time at the It’s a Knockout Fun Day and the support lent to the event by Seymour was invaluable.”
““Seymour are very much looking forward to supporting the Hospice again this year” said Kevin Byrne, Managing Director of Seymour CEC Ltd. We continue to focus our support with the Hartlepool Hospice after seeing the amazing work they do for the community”.
